Fudge Brownies
4oz unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
¾ cup butter or margarine
3 eggs
1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
First butter a 13 inch x 9 inch x 2 inch baking pan; then preheat
the oven to 350°F.
Next put the chocolate and butter into a large microwaveable bowl,
and microwave on ‘high’ for 1½ to 2 minutes or
until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth when stirred.
Then add the sugar and stir with a spoon until well blended. Next
add the eggs and the vanilla extract and mix well; then add the
flour, and if liked the nuts, and stir until the mixture is well
blended.
Transfer the brownie mixture to the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Then bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in
the center comes out almost clean.
Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack and then cut
into about 24 scrumptious fudge brownies.
