Chicken Crockpot
This tasty chicken crockpot recipe is great served with rice.
4 skinless chicken breast halves
1 14 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
½ teaspoon dried rosemary
1 clove of garlic
¼ teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon of oil
1 medium onion
1 small red pepper
10 oz frozen peas
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Begin by rinsing the chicken under cold running water and patting
it dry on paper towel; then season the chicken with the salt and
pepper and the paprika.
Now remove the skin and chop the onion, rinse, remove the seeds
and rib and chop the red pepper, and remove the outer layer and
mince the garlic clove.
Next, heat the oil in a skillet over a medium-high heat; then add
the chicken and brown – this will just take a few minutes
for each side - when browned transfer the chicken to a crockpot
and set to one side.
After this, in a bowl, mix together the onion, the red pepper the
rosemary, the garlic and the can of tomatoes; then pour this over
the chicken. Cover and cook on Low for 7 to 9 hours or High for
3 to 4 hours adding the peas 1 hour before serving.
