Foamy Omelet
4 eggs
½ teaspoon salt
Pepper
4 tablespoons milk or water
2 teaspoons of butter
you will also need
A skillet, omelet pan or fry pan
Begin by separating the yolks of the eggs from the whites - to
do this you will need two small bowls. Then take an egg and crack
it around about its middle, by tapping it on the edge of the first
bowl.
Now with one hand on each end of the eggshell break the egg open
and whilst passing the egg yolk from one half of the eggshell to
the other, let the white of the egg slip into the second bowl. Continue
passing the yolk back and forth until only the yolk is left, then
plop the yolk into the first bowl. Repeat this process with the
other three eggs.
Next beat together the egg yolks until they’re creamy, then
add the salt, pepper and the milk or water. Now, beat the egg whites
until they’re stiff. Then, using a metal spoon, fold the egg
whites into the egg yolk mixture.
Now heat the butter in the skillet, and when hot pour the omelet
mixture into the pan and cook slowly. Meanwhile heat the broiler
(grill). When the omelet is set and lightly browned on the underneath
side, remove the pan from the heat and place it for a few moments
under the hot broiler.
Cook until the top is just set and serve.
